How it works

Two phones, two teams, one buzzer.

  1. Start a room

Tap "Play free", pick a handle. You get a six-letter room code to share.

  2. Split into two camps

Team Sholay vs Team Mogambo. One captain describes on their phone; the rival captain takes the buzzer.

  3. Describe, don't slip

A card lands — a film, star, dish or ritual. Talk your team to it, but the forbidden words are off-limits.

  4. Beat the buzzer

Got it scores. Skip moves on. Say a forbidden word and the rival buzzes — card burned, no point. Most points after six turns wins.

A turn in the wild

The card lands. Now describe it — carefully.

Quick mouth, sharp ears

The describing captain sees the answer and its forbidden list. The rival captain sees the same card — but their only job is to referee with the buzzer. Get your team to say it for a point; trip a forbidden word and the card's gone. Tap Got it or Skip and the next one flips.

FAQ

Quick answers, then play.

What is Zabaan Sambhal?

It's Bollywood Taboo. One captain describes a card — a film, star, character, place, dish, sport or ritual — without saying any of its forbidden words, while the rival captain watches with a buzzer. Get your team to guess it for a point. 2–8 players, free in your browser.

Do I need to download anything?

No. It runs in any phone browser. Pick a handle, get a room code, share it with friends. You'll want two phones in the room — one for each captain.

How long does a game take?

About six minutes — six 60-second turns split across the two teams, plus the final scoreboard. Rematch is one tap.

How many players can join?

Two to eight. You need at least two captains; the party peak is two full teams crowded around the sofa.

What's on the cards?

Seven categories — films, stars, characters, places, food, sport and rituals (Filmein, Sitaarey, Kirdaar, Jagah, Swaad, Khel, Rasm). Pick a category pack and a difficulty (3, 5 or 7 forbidden words) before you start.

Is it really free?

Yes. Every game on Desi Party Games is free — no paywall, no premium tier.
